The Jacksonville Jaguars were phenomenal on defense last season. It will probably take a few years, but the production of last year’s defensive unit cannot be overstated. Every position group on this team either got a stud draft pick (Taven Bryan along the defensive line), saw a young veteran step up and challenge for more playing time (Tyler Patmon at cornerback), has a mid-round rookie who is tailor made to fit into this scheme (Ronnie Harrison at safety), or saw a Day 3 guy completely surprise us to earn a starting spot (Leon Jacobs at linebacker).The best players will be fresher at the end of the season or down the stretch into the playoffs, the veterans are another year into their spot and will be even more comfortable and quick to react, and the rookies and young guys have Pro Bowlers and All-Pro players at every position to start off their NFL career right.The defense is what has me most excited about the Jaguars this year.
